This vision system checks which type of nut has been fitted to the brake line.
The system can perform the following functions:
- Check that the correct sized nut has been fitted
- Ensure that the nut has been fitted in the correct orientation
- Locate damaged thread on viewed portion
The features of the system are:
- Robust In-Sight vision sensor with industrial housing
- Simple operation utilising PatMax from Cognex to recognise and identify many different types of part types
- Sensor can be left to run as a stand alone unit with or without operator interface
- Results passed to PLC via Ethernet connection so PLC can act on results
