DataMan 100 ID Readers

The DataMan 500QL Fixed Mount ID Reader is the most advanced fixed mount ID reader available on the market. Based on Cognex's patented chip technology, the DM500 can achieve image aquisition speeds up to 1,000 frames/second and decoding speeds up to 90 decodes/second. The DataMan 500QL includes 1DMax algorithms only to decode 1D symbologies with read rates >99% even on challenging to read codes. High speed and high read rates mean the DM500 can replace many applications that are traditionally only served by laser scanners. The DataMan 500 features integrated lighting, camera, processor and communications integrated into a robust industrial housing. Flexible optics and lighting accessories make it customizable to meet specific application requirements.

The DataMan 500 Series is the first barcode reader based on patented vision chip technology from Cognex. This technology allows DataMan 500 to reliably read ID barcodes on packages moving at speeds up to 500 feet per minute (2.5 m/s) without an external trigger or complicated set up procedure. DataMan 500 is the first barcode reader for the logistics industry to introduce liquid lens autofocus technology. The automatic adjusting focus of the liquid lens provides the maximum depth of field for even the highest speed applications. This optional accessory for DataMan 500 is fast and reliable and offers good optical quality with low power consumption.

DataMan 500 features IDMax®, which offers the most advanced decoding available for reading virtually every type of code, every time. Now, users can easily read badly printed codes, damaged codes, distorted codes, codes with low height, blurred codes, scratched codes… even 2D Data Matrix and QR codes.

DataMan 500 has a longer product life than a laser scanner because it was designed with no moving parts.

DataMan 500 is powered over Ethernet (PoE) and doesn’t require a separate power supply or communication line. DataMan 500 also supports RS-232 for integration into legacy systems.
